DMB, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, becomes the most successful digital mobile broadcasting format in worldwide. Since the commercial broadcasting in December 2005, over 30 millions of receivers have been deployed in the market. Besides 5 countries in commercialization, more than 10 countries are transmitting DMB signals or showing strong interest in deployment of DMB. Along with worldwide trend of digital switch over, the number of countries is continuously increasing. DMB will be broadcasted in all continents and the number of commercial broadcasting countries is expected to count up to 10 in 2011.

In spite of the promising future of DMB, we are still encountering typical huddles in our advance. DMB alliance, as a unique entity to promote commercialization of DMB, is striving to promote global collaboration for introduction and deployment of DMB.

For the brighter future and more satisfactory spread of DMB, we, DMB alliance will preserve our efforts to promote worldwide collaboration, not only in the development but also in the marketing; not only in the technology but also in the business.

The Alliance will consolidate the supporting role for all members who shall overcome those huddles and create new culture of mobile multimedia all over the world. We believe DMB will benefit global mobile users better than any other competitive media can do.
